How to Become a Social Media Marketing Ninja

Wed, Nov 21, 2007

Social Marketing

First, let me give respect to, in my opinion, the original SMM Ninja - Jack Humphrey. His Authority Black Book and his frequently fabulous content at Friday Traffic Report are daily reads for moi.

However, today I wanted to introduce you to a “new” (it only has 6 posts) blog that, looks like it too will be offering stellar content. The site is actually a collective of experienced bloggers sharing insights. The blog is appropriately called Collective Thoughts and the author which caught my attention is Andy Beard.

I especially liked his post for today 11/20/07.

In fact, it seems as if Andy has been listening in to the conversation occurring inside my head as I hammer through my social media marketing tasks each day.

In this one post he has managed to crystalize 10 defining points that will turn an average SMMer into a real Social Media Marketing Ninja.

The post is titled: 10 Reasons Why Social Media Marketing Sucks…

Thanks Andy–I sincerely enjoyed the insight!

    Thanks for the mention Peter.

Btw I noticed Jack’s rankings for a number of terms have been dropping a little, such as for social power linking.

The new theme isn’t flowing the juice around as effectively.

I don’t mind ranking first for it again, but didn’t expect him to drop down so far.

Social marketing is all about getting your quality content and links to that content out there! I can’t help you write better posts (well maybe this will help you write a better post), but I can show you haw to create multiple microblogging backlinks all at once from right inside Facebook.

Are you interested?

Facebook is hot with online marketers right now due to the push by John Reese to get 5,000 friends added to his account, which i think he just accomplished.

So, why not do some power microblogging while you are floating around Facebook with this cool add-in from Hellotxt.

Check out this video and then head on over to Facebook and add me as a friend.

After you have your accounts set up on Hellotxt, here’s the Hellotxt app for Facebook.

Enjoy!
